Village Woods Retirement Community’s Life Enrichment Department is seeking:

Part-Time Life Enrichment Activities Aide (average 22 – 25 hours per week)


Monday -   8:30am to 12pm

Tuesday -   8:30am to 3pm

Wednesday -   3pm to 8pm

Thursday  -  8:30am to 3pm

Friday -  8:30am to 12pm

1 Saturday per month -   9:45am to 3:30pm

(Rotating Saturdays and Holidays)


Description:           Village Woods Retirement and Assisted Living Community in Crete, Illinois is seeking a part-time Life Enrichment Activities Aide. This self-motivated candidate will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the client's assessment, and as may be directed by the Life Enrichment Director. 

Requirements:         Position requires a strong team-player with writing skills, basic computer skills, interpersonal skills, and decision-making skills.  Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with the elderly individuals, other personnel, family members, and visitors.  Candidate must have the ability to plan and implement scheduled activity programs.  Candidate must be patient, enthusiastic, and have a cheerful disposition.  Previous experience as an activity aide and knowledge of dementia specific care within an assisted living/independent living or skilled nursing community is a plus.
