Providence Life Services is currently interviewing for the much anticipated Registry division! The PLS Registry assists in covering internal shifts at PLS facilities.

Compensation starts at $35.00/hr. then increases to $36.00/hr. after a successful three months of employment. Only seeking top RN candidates that are passionate about their profession. 

Our current need is for ALL SHIFTS at our Homer Glen, Victorian Village Campus, Downers Grove and Park Place of Elmhurst campus . Once a part of the Registry Team, you will be able to pick up shifts at other PLS facitlies in the same geographic area.

This position is perfect for candidates seeking 30 hours or less a week!

PLS Registry employees are scheduled on an as needed basis. Although schedules may also be given in advance, the position will require same day coverage if permanent staff members are unavailable.


Summary of essential job functions

  • Provide professional services such as: applying and changing dressings, and ostomy care, administer pre-determined medication, including but not limited to blood glucose monitoring, neb treatments, inhalers, eye/ear drops, insulin, narcotics and prn medications for Assisting Living residents that are unable to self-administer.
  • Evaluate clients’ pain status and work with practitioner to address the clients’ pain management. Notify physician when pain is not managed on current medications.
  • Ensure that call lights are answered promptly by CNAs.  Answer call lights as part of the team approach to quality customer care.
  • Receive telephone orders from physicians/practitioners, and record orders received.
  • Transcribe practitioner orders to EMR or paper chart as required.

Skills necessary

  • Must be available to work on an as needed basis, which includes weekends and holidays.
  • Must be open to 1 day every two weeks minimum.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in IL.
  • Must have a current CPR card, renewable every two years within the month of expiration.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
