Providence Life Services is currently seeking PRN (As Needed) CNA's at their Village Woods Crete, IL campus.

  • PRN C.N.A's are to cover EVENING SHIFT. Required to work 1 weekend shift per pay period (2 per month).



The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily assistance and service in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by the Assisted Living Coordinator.


Summary of essential job functions

  • Report all changes in the resident’s conditions to the Assistant Living coordinator, charge nurse or designee. Example: eating habits, ADL function, accidents, skin conditions, cognition.
  • Assist residents with bath functions as needed.
  • Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living and ADLs as needed.
  • Change bed linens as assigned and make beds.
  • Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs.
  • Answer resident calls timely.
  • Assist with cleaning eyeglasses, hearing aids, etc. See service plan.
  • Assist with dining needs as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information to assure resident rights are protected.

Skills necessary

  • Must be CNA Certified in the State of Illinois.
  • Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
  • Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
  • Must be mature and career minded.
  • Previous experience in assisted living care is a plus.
  • Ability to handle difficult behaviors and residents with cognitive deficits.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
