Be a part of our brand new and exciting community located in St. John, IN. We are currently seeking 1 part time C.N.A. This is an excellent career opportunity for individuals who are truly passionate about providing care for the elderly!

The C.N.A. will provide care to the elders living in our independent living environment. The core goal of the work of the C.N.A will be to provide assistance, which promotes quality of life and a positive elder hood. The responsibilities of the aide includes care of the elder and the elders’ environment, including laundry, and housekeeping of common areas. The C.N.A must also work closely with the Community Manager to provide the best possible care to all residents.The C.N.A. will also pick up additional shifts for call offs, vacations, training and picking up Private Duty (Facility and In Home.)

Hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am  - 4:00 pm and every other weekend from 7:30 am - 4:00


Summary of essential job functions

  • Assist with the admissions process and greet residents and family members.
  • Responsible for cleaning common areas and doing assigned resident laundry, etc.
  • Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
  • Support and represent the mission of Providence as shown by your actions while on duty. 
  • Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
  • Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed 


Skills necessary

  • Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
  • Must have a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Indiana.
  • Previous experience in Campus Care or Assisted Living is necessary.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
  • This is a temporary position that may turn to a permanent position.
